Cruise booking was smooth

I booked a 7-day Caribbean cruise vacation through Avoya Travel. The initial consultation with the independent expert was helpful; they laid out a few options based on my preferences. The booking process itself was straightforward after I picked a cruise. I opted for a cabin with a balcony. The agent sent all the confirmations promptly. I received some onboard credit which was nice. Delivery of the e-tickets was via email a few weeks before departure. Everything was as expected, no hiccups.

Easy to book our honeymoon

We booked our honeymoon package through Avoya. It was pretty easy. Our agent took care of everything, even travel insurance. We just told her what we wanted, and she came back with good ideas. Got a nice deal too. No complaints.

Agent helped with our Europe tour

We used Avoya Travel to plan a custom itinerary for a European land tour. The agent was quite knowledgeable and suggested some great guided tours we hadn't considered. Communication was good, though sometimes there was a day's delay in getting responses to detailed questions. We did get a decent deal on hotel bookings through them. The actual trip went well, everything was booked correctly. I just wish the response times were a bit quicker sometimes. Overall a positive experience.

Good value for my family cruise

I was looking for a good deal on a family cruise. Avoya Travel had a pretty good offer for a Disney cruise. I talked to an agent who found us some exclusive resort credits, which was a nice bonus. It felt like I got a solid package for the money, especially with the extra credit. I was happy with the overall value.

Consistent service for our getaways

This was my third time using Avoya Travel, this time for an all-inclusive resort. I always go back because their independent experts consistently find good options. This experience was just as reliable as the last two. The agent understood what I was looking for right away and provided a few strong contenders. It's always a smooth booking process, and I appreciate not having to do all the research myself. They're good at finding those specific packages.

i'm an amex card member. how do i use my benefits or offers if i book through avoya?

R Robert W. 1 day ago
You usually just tell your Avoya agent you're an Amex card member and if there are any specific offers, they can apply them during the booking process or guide you on how to activate them. It's not like a 'promo code' you enter yourself.

Your agent should know about those Amex benefits. Just mention it up front when you're discussing your trip. Sometimes it's a statement credit or a special amenity, they'll usually handle the backend for you.

does avoya charge any extra service fees on top of the travel costs?

S Sofia Carter 3 weeks ago
AFAIK, they don't charge a service fee directly to the customer for booking. The agents get paid by the suppliers, like the cruise lines or resorts. Some independent agents might have their own fees, but Avoya itself usually doesn't.

For just booking a vacation, no. If you're talking about becoming an agent, there are membership fees and stuff, but not for just buying a trip.

what's the deal with promo codes here? i can't find anywhere to put one in.

E Emily G. 2 weeks ago
Avoya doesn't really do promo codes like a regular shopping site. Their deals are more through direct partnerships or special offers that an agent applies during booking. So you won't find a box for it on the website itself.

T Thomas Gonzalez 2 weeks ago
Nah, forget promo codes. It's not that kind of platform. If there's a discount, it's usually applied by the agent you're working with, or it's an Amex offer or something similar.

any word on military discounts for cruises through avoya? thinking about a caribbean trip.

J Jeff 1 week ago
Yeah, they definitely do military discounts! Not sure if it's every cruise line, but a lot of them participate. Just tell your agent when you're looking and they'll sort it out.

My buddy got a military discount on his Alaska cruise booked through Avoya. It's usually a pretty standard thing with most major cruise lines, and Avoya helps you get it.

is avoya better than just using expedia cruises or something similar online? what's the difference?

B Ben D. 1 week ago
Avoya is more about connecting you with a human travel agent who can give personalized advice and find deals. Expedia Cruises is more self-serve online. If you like talking to someone and want custom planning, Avoya is probably better.

K Kyle Jones 1 week ago
Totally different. Expedia is more DIY, click and book. Avoya is like having a personal assistant for your trip. They can often get better perks or deals you wouldn't find just searching online yourself.
